I recently had the opportunity to stay at Villa Belforte during a business trip, and while the property offers some lovely features, my experience left much to be desired. The spacious double room was well-appointed with a private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and air conditioning, which was a relief if only it had worked properly amidst the heat. Despite the inviting décor, my stay was marred by the owner's unhelpfulness when I encountered difficulties with the temperature. I was met with rudeness rather than understanding, which is unfortunate, as I always appreciate a warm Irish welcome. The location, while nestled in a pleasant neighborhood, is quite some distance from the promenade, leading me to question if future guests would find it worthwhile given the price point. The free Wi-Fi and private parking were advantages, yet a simple coffee-making facility in the room would have added a touch of comfort. Villa Belforte has potential with its charming aesthetics, but the hospitality standards felt lacking. Visiting as an artist, I believe that warmth and empathy are as vital as a good night's sleep and I hope to see improvements in that regard.
